Funding Research Projects to advance the state-of-the-art in AI and compute

OpenGPU Structure

The OpenGPU Foundation serves as the non-profit 501(c)(6) core of the organization, functioning as the ultimate owner of the OpenGPU Standard and its underlyingIntellectual Property. Its key function is managing the specification and technology distribution through IP Licenses to various IP Licensees. These licensees are the membership beneficiaries, and they must demonstrate Spec Compliance to earn the fitness to bear the OpenGPU Trademark(s). In return for the license, the licensees provide crucial Contributions & Feedback to the Foundation, often in the form of an IP Grant-Back with a Sub-license, ensuring the standard remains collaborative and continually advanced.
